CoolSculpting® Elite

THE NON-INVASIVE BODY CONTOURING AND FAT REDUCTION TREATMENT

CoolSculpting® Elite is a non-invasive body-slimming procedure requiring no needles, incisions, or surgery. This FDA-cleared technology uses a controlled cooling method called Cryolipolysis™, CoolSculpting® Elite penetrates beneath your skin to chill and eliminate fat cells. This advanced procedure is able to treat visible fat bulges under the chin (also called submental fat), the thighs, the abdomen and flanks, bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks, and the upper arms. If you find it difficult to eliminate fat from specific areas, whether it’s bulges, rolls, and other small areas of fat, you should consider CoolSculpting® as a solution.

Who is a good candidate for CoolSculpting® Elite?

The ideal candidates for CoolSculpting Elite are men and women who are close to their ideal body weight with small areas of fat they wish to lose that are resistant to diet and exercise. These are typically individuals who are not surgical candidates or those who opt not to have cosmetic surgery procedures. Coolsculpting Elite is not a weight loss treatment, it is a body contouring treatment.

COOLSCULPTING® ELITE HAS THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS:
  • Non-Invasive

  • Targets fat in specific areas

  • No downtime

  • Fast, comfortable treatments

  • Can treat multiple areas at the same time

How does CoolSculpting® Elite work?

CoolSculpting Elite delivers controlled cooling to the treated area. Did you know that fat cells are more sensitive to cold? After treatment, the dead fat cells are removed through a natural biological process. Though this process begins within days after your treatment, it can take up to 3-6 months for all the treated fat cells to die and then be cleared away from the treated area. Those fat cells, once eliminated, are gone for good.

When can you expect to see the effects of CoolSculpting® Elite?

Typically, after just 3 weeks most patients begin to see results. After 2 – 4 months you will see the most dramatic improvement. Through your body’s natural metabolic processes, the fat cells in the treated areas are gradually eliminated.

How much does the CoolSculpting® Elite procedure cost?

The price for CoolSculpting® Elite varies depending on your areas of concern, the number of sessions needed, and your ultimate goals. Our CoolSculpting® specialist in Wall, NJ will consult with you to create a customized treatment plan, in person, that’s tailored to your body, your goals, and your budget.

How long is each CoolSculpting® Elite session?

We will help you create an individualized treatment plan tailored to your specific goals. The length of your CoolSculpting® Elite session will vary depending on the number of areas being treated during one visit. We may schedule additional sessions in order to meet your goals. Treatments last 35 minutes for the most part, but some applicators, such as the one for the outer thigh, involve slightly longer treatment times. A 2-minute massage will follow each treatment. For most patients, 2 or more visits are recommended to achieve the best results. In a clinical study, visits were 8 weeks apart.

What happens to the treated fat cells? Where do they go?

Your body sends white blood cells to the treated area to clear away the dead fat cells, which are excreted by your body over the weeks and months after treatment.

What does CoolSculpting® Elite feel like? Is it painful?

Everyone has their own sensitivity to discomfort. CoolSculpting Elite uses light vacuum pressure to attach and hold the applicator to the treated area. The applicators administer therapeutic cooling which will feel very cold in the treated area and has been described as a burning cold sensation for up to 10 minutes before the area typically goes numb. After treatment is finished, the applicators are removed and the treated areas are massaged. Many people read, watch videos, work on their laptops, or even take a nap during their treatment.

Is the CoolSculpting® Elite procedure safe?

CoolSculpting® Elite has been used by doctors since 2009 and is the #1 noninvasive fat reduction treatment used by doctors. It’s proven safe and effective and there are over 100 published papers on the safety and efficacy of CoolSculpting in medical publications.

Are there any CoolSculpting® Elite side effects?

During the procedure, you may experience deep pulling, tugging, pinching, numbness, or discomfort. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, and pain. Rare side effects may also occur. The CoolSculpting® Elite procedure is not for everyone. You should not have the CoolSculpting® procedure if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria. The CoolSculpting® Elite procedure is not a treatment for obesity. As with any medical procedure, ask us if the CoolSculpting® Elite procedure is right for you. During your consultation in Wall, NJ, a thorough medical history will be taken.

Can I return to normal activities after my CoolSculpting® Elite treatment?

Yes, you can. The CoolSculpting® Elite procedure is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities immediately. Oftentimes, patients return to work after their CoolSculpting® session is over.

What is the difference between Coolsculpting® and Coolsculpting® Elite?

CoolSculpting® Elite offers two applicators in one machine. This gives providers the ability to treat two areas at the same time—meaning patients can spend less time in the chair as compared to treating with the original CoolSculpting® system which has 1 applicator. Additionally, the new CoolSculpting® Elite applicator collection includes 7 different shapes and sizes, which allows providers to treat a wide range of body areas. The innovative C-shaped design complements the body’s natural curves for improved fit and comfort as compared to the previous generation CoolSculpting® applicator.

Do I need to do anything special after my treatment to ensure good results?

Many people, after seeing the results from their CoolSculpting® Elite procedure in Wall, NJ, take even better care of themselves. Just continue your normal healthy lifestyle activities, such as your regular forms of exercise and continuing to follow your normal diet, while your body goes to work triggering the affected fat cells to die off and be cleared away from the treated areas by your body’s own natural processes.
